A common question during cooling tower fill replacement is whether a different pitch can be used when the original product is no longer available. For example, a buyer may have a tower using one fill pitch and find another product with a similar width and overall appearance.

The two products should not be treated as automatically interchangeable simply because their external dimensions are similar.

Pitch Changes the Internal Flow Structure
